The first match goal market is a football sports spread betting type that is entirely determined by the first goal scored in a game. The market will often be set at say 26 – 28, and if you think there will be an early goal, you will sell. The earlier the first goal is scored, the better for you. If it were scored in the tenth minute, you would subtract ten from 26, and you would have a first match goal total of 16, which is then multiplied by your stake.
